CRISP on Windy City LIVE!

On September 3rd, Windy City Live! featured an episode called "Ji's WCL Takeover" where Ji Suk Yi hosted the Windy City LIVE hour with her favorite foods, bartenders, spa and more. CRISP is honored to be featured in her Top 5 fried chicken spots in the Chicago area!
"This spot is a hip quick-serve restaurant featuring a menu of contemporary takes on traditional Korean chicken dishes. Whether you're a student tight for cash or a neighborhood regular, Crisp is not only affordable but the portion sizes are also quite generous, giving you more bang for your buck." - Windy City LIVE
Even more exciting, Jae was invited to personally present the winning wings along with the other faves to Ji on the show. Thanks so much to Ji and the entire Windy City LIVE team!

Thrillist : The Definitive Best Chicken Wings in Chicago

CRISP took the #1 spot of Thrillist's Definitive Best Chicken Wings in Chicago, as picked by 10 local food writers. The judges were:
  • Carly Boers, Chicago Magazine
  • Steve Dolinsky, ABC 7, The Chicago Tribune
  • Sarah Freeman, Zagat
  • Mike Gerbert, Skyfullofbacon.com
  • Daniel Gerzina, Eater Chicago
  • Darryl Holliday, DNAinfo Chicago, Illustrated Press
  • Matt Kirouac, Plate Magazine, Check, Please!
  • Robyn Nisi, Gapers Block Drive-Thru
  • Mike Sula, Chicago Reader
  • Phil Vettel, Chicago Tribune
"The winner and still the heavyweight wing champion of Chicago, Crisp's non-traditional approach to Korean chicken results in the perfect skin texture and flavor. And with their equally popular BBQ-style in hot pepper paste and ginger soy garlic Seoul Sassy wings, they could arguably lay claim to both the top two spots on this list."

The judges say:
-- "There's something so richly satisfying about the sticky, spicy, and sweet Seoul Sassy wings at Crisp. Although Buffalo gets most of the attention in the wing world, my heart belongs to these soy-splashed Korean morsels." - Matt Kirouac
-- "I’d eat Seoul Sassy sauce on my cereal, so this is a no-brainer." - Carly Boers

Thank you, judges and Thrillist!

Eater Chicago is loving CRISP

Thanks to EATER Chicago for featuring CRISP in the

"It might be easy to overlook a Korean fried chicken joint but you’d be missing out on some tasty jumbo wings. While you can get them plain, the fried chicken here is best eaten sauced. There are traditional BBQ and buffalo options but it’s the Seoul Sassy that really shines. It’s a sweet sauce, made with ginger, soy, garlic and other spices, that’s a favorite and helps separate Crisp from other chicken places."
